Steps To Fix Windows Terminal Error or Windows Terminal Not Launching Error
If you are unable to open the Windows Terminal and get the error
Windows cannot find wt.exe. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again
Please try the steps shown in this article.
Go to the Microsoft website :
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/windows-terminal/9n0dx20hk701?activetab=pivot:overviewtab
Open the link and click on Install/Open
It will prompt you to open the Microsoft store so
click on Open Microsoft Store then
click on Install to install Windows Terminal and let the download complete.
Now click on Open to open the Windows Terminal or
you can open from the start menu however, if you are still unable to open it then make a right click on start menu and
Click on Task Manager then click on File and click on Run new task.
Type in wt.exe and put a check on the box which says Create this task with administrative privileges
Then click on OK.
Now you should be able to open the Windows Terminal as an Administrator.
