Connect The Android Device
Download and install Android Data Recovery Software on your PC or Mac.
Open Android Data Recovery software, click on Recover and then connect your Android device to your PC using USB cable.
Make Sure to Enable USB Debugging
User with Android 2.3 or earlier version go to Settings < Tap Applications < Tap Development< and put a check on USB debugging.
User with Android 3.0 to 4.0 go to the Settings < Tap Developer options <and put a check on USB debugging
User with Android 4.1 to 5.1 go Settings
- Tap About Phone
- Tap Build number for 7 times until you get a prompt “You are under developer mode“
- Go back to Settings
- Turn on Developer options and put a check on USB debugging
- Go to the Settings
- Select About Phone
- Go to Software Info
- Tap Build number 7 times in continuously
- Now go back to Back Developer options
- Turn on Developer options and select USB debugging
Click on OK when you receive a prompt to allow USB debugging.
Once the Android device is connected, you can see the screen as shown below, click on Next on this screen.
Start The Scan
Once you click on next, it will show you two options: Scan for deleted files and Scan for all files, it will take a long time if you scan all files.
Preview The Files on Your Android Device
Once scan is complete, you will be able to locate all the files, select the items you want and click on Recover to save all the files to your computer.
Broken Phone Android Data Recovery Guide
Download and install Android Data Recovery tool on your PC, upon launch select Recover.
Connect your Android device to your PC using USB cable and select Recover Android Data.
Android Data Recovery tool will show you all the selected data, select the data you want and click on Next to continue.
Keep in mind that this feature helps you to recover the existing data from your broken Android device.
It will show you two option on the screen: “Touch doesn’t work or cannot access the phone” or “Black/broken screen“. As per your situation choose the scenario you are facing.

- Power off the phone.
- Press and hold Volume “-“, “Home” and “Power” button on the phone.
- Press “Volume +” button to enter download mode.
Once the Android device is in Download mode, Android Recovery tool will start analyzing the phone to download the recovery package.
Once the scanning is complete, Android Data Recovery tool will show all the file types by categories. You can now preview and select the files you want and hit Recover and save your data to the computer.
Android SD Cards Data Recovery Guide
Follow the steps mentioned below to recover deleted or lost data from SD card.
Connect your micro SD card using your Android device or a SD card reader.
Download and install Android Data Recovery tool, launch the tool on your PC and click on Recover.
Now connect your SD card to your computer. You can connect SD to your computer using a card reader or Android phone or tablet. After you have connected SD card to your computer click on Next.
After SD card is recognized by the tool, the screen will show the SD card as shown below, now Click on Next.
In the next screen, you will see Standard Mode and Advanced Mode. First try the Standard Mode first, in case you don’t see what you need then you can opt for Advance Mode. With Standard mode you can select and scan for only deleted files or scan for all files on your SD card. Scan for all files will show you all the files.
Select the recovery mode as per your choice and click on Next to scan your SD card.
Once the scan is complete, it will show the files in categories. You can now select the files you want and hit Recover.
